eduPOWER, Inc. is an educational and training delivery company that develops and provides customized, instructor-led, distance-learning courses for colleges, universities, high schools, the military, government, and business and industry. Established in 2002, eduPOWER is headquartered in Amherst, Massachusetts, the center of one of the world's greatest concentrations of institutions of higher education, including the University of Massachusetts, Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, and Smith College.
eduPOWER's president is Robert S. Feldman, Ph.D. Feldman is author of P.O.W.E.R. Learning: Strategies for Success in College and Life, 2/e, published by McGraw-Hill. The book has been used by tens of thousands of students and at hundreds of colleges and universities across the United States and Canada.
Feldman, who received a doctorate in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is also Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Psychology at UMass. He has won the College Outstanding Teaching Award and is a Hewlett Teaching Fellow. He has taught courses at Mount Holyoke College, Wesleyan University, and Virginia Commonwealth University and is a Fellow of both the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society. He is a winner of a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar and Lecturer award and has written some 100 scientific articles, book chapters, and books.
Feldman has taught and supervised distance-learning classes since 1998 and was appointed Senior Online Instruction Fellow at the University of Massachusetts last year. In this capacity, he leads a periodic seminar for instructors involved in distance learning and who are preparing a guide to distance learning for the UMass system. Nationally, he has lectured extensively on the use of technology in teaching, including an invited address at the American Psychological Association. He is author of two guides to distance learning.
